Hi, my name is Debbie Smith, and for more than five years, I have lived in southern India: the land of sunshine, spices and spirituality. Believe it or not, I first became keen to learn about Yoga soon after my 60th birthday - well, I was living in India! Slowly but surely, I found traditional asana classes gave me increased physical flexibility and an unexpected sense of calm. It also ignited a particular interest in the potential of Yogic breathing or pranayama.
Guided breathwork brought me an amazing sense of composure, increased stamina and a wonderful feeling of well-being. Fascinated by the remarkable benefits of pranayama, my breathing practice naturally extended to the restorative effects of mindfulness and meditation: fundamental limbs of Yoga for thousands of years.
‘Own Your Breath’ has been created in order to share with you the incredible benefits and revelations I have discovered through my personal journey.

Debbie is greatly skilled as a teacher. Her voice is soothing, & the instructions are easy to follow. She gives you time to learn the different breaths so you can use them at home to relax or refresh yourself.
